Promueven desarrollo del turismo en Tarija

En diciembre de 2019, con la llegada a Tarija de más de 77.000 turistas, entre nacionales y extranjeros, se generó un movimiento económico de $us 12 millones, según datos de la Secretaría de Turismo del Gobierno Municipal de Tarija y la provincia Cercado.

El flujo turístico en ese mes incrementó un 4 % la estadía en hoteles y residenciales, un 5 % los vuelos aéreos y hasta un 58 % el servicio de las empresas de transporte terrestre.

“Son datos alentadores por el movimiento del flujo turístico, además se tiene que destacar la participación de los empresarios que realizan diferentes tipos de eventos en la ciudad. Ellos generan expectativas para que la población del interior y exterior puedan visitarnos”, dijo Fernando Trigo, secretario de Turismo del Gobierno Municipal de la ciudad de Tarija.

Tras estos indicadores, el desafío es aumentar el flujo turístico para el Carnaval Chapaco y se gestiona con BoA para incluir en su itinerario vuelos especiales.

Señaló que es tiempo de entender que la apuesta por el turismo no puede ser una aventura y sin tener una visión de conjunto, con una base firme en que sustentarse. “Es necesario que actuemos con firmeza en la recuperación y preservación del patrimonio, histórico, cultural y natural”, dijo.

De esta manera será fundamental trabajar –sostuvo– en el fortalecimiento de los destinos turísticos, tanto en su infraestructura, su belleza natural, la atención amable de los habitantes de la zona y la seguridad. “Año tras año, nos entregamos a la convocatoria de las temporadas altas de turismo y trabajamos solo con la mirada puesta en esas fechas y en ese programa”.

En su opinión, la actividad turística incide directamente en el dinamismo de otros sectores como la construcción, el transporte y las telecomunicaciones, así como en la cantidad de todo tipo de bienes y servicios que demanden los turistas durante su viaje.

Por ello, el sector turístico ha sumado gran relevancia y trascendencia económica a nivel mundial. Sin embargo, esto no viene solo, se requiere de mucho trabajo y una gran constancia.

Del tema ya han tomado conciencia muchos países, por lo que en los últimos años el turismo ha experimentado un continuo crecimiento y una profunda diversificación, así se ha convertido en uno de los sectores económicos que crece con mayor rapidez en el mundo. La estrecha relación que el turismo guarda con el desarrollo de las comunidades, lo ha convertido en un motor clave del progreso económico del departamento de Tarija.
